Happy Birthday Uncle Peanuts!
Once I finally got over the trepidation of "family self-promotion" to embrace the well-documented genius of Hugh "Peanuts" Whalum, I began to spread the word! I was blessed to produce his first-ever CD called "Introducing Hugh "Peanuts" Whalum," which introduced his music to a much broader (and well deserved) audience, including people like Dave Koz, Jonathan Butler, and Patti Austin... all of whom are now diehard fans. My uncle Peanuts remains, now on his 84th birthday, one of the few true talents of his era left on the planet. He deserves for this last 40 or 50 years to be his best!! Happy Birthday Uncle Peanuts!
