"A religious community can attest to the Sacred as it experiences it. It cannot attest to the absence of the Sacred in other communities." Edward Farley. Thoughts???
A 'religious community' as in a communal belief, can bear witness to the Sacred as it aligns with its doctrine. It cannot bear witness to what has not been included within its teaching of the Sacred. If not included, its excluded. If excluded, its absent. Not being included 'within' its teaching, places it 'without'--outside of its boundaries, in other communities. I agree.
