I thoroughly enjoyed Mr. Tisdale when he came to Memphis this past April. It was very evident he was ailing, but that didn't stop him from putting on a wonderful show. He will be sorely missed, but will live on through his music. God bless his family and friends.
This afternoon has been all Wayman music. Like you, many of us miss him BUT we will reunite with our brother soon (in the big picture of eternity)!!!! For today and in the future...I love the music and other messages WT left us...Sunday's Best has been ringing in my ear all day!!!
Being a former athlete that played the same position and one that admired Mr. Tisdale as a player throughout his career, I found myself equally as impressed with his transition out of basketball to follow another passion of his...music. A great bass player and all around talent, I am sadden by his passing, but comforted because he is a man of great faith.
I pray that God grants his family and all who appreciate him, strength, wisdom, and understanding. Mr. Tisdale's legacy and the beautiful gifts of his warm smile, and music he leaves us will live on in our hearts. The world lost a great one today!
I feel like someone in my family has pass. He was such a awesome person. I cruised with him two years in a row and this last one he gave us a close and personal look at him and his beautiful family. These are memories I will have for the rest of my life. I know Grover, Miles ,Marvin and a host of others in heaven are saying welcome Waymon.
I remember his first album and being impressed with his skill and song writing. I've been a fan since. So this is a sad day and a happy one because I know where he is at.
This is a sad day. Shocking news. We have truly lost an incredible musician, athlete, and person. My first encounter was at a concert in Sacramento with you and Jonathan Butler. He will surely be missed.

Wishing his family as much peace as possible during this difficult time. He will be missed by all that knew him and knew his work.
